The Start of Growth is Conversation

I was fortunate this weekend to be the time keeper at the Great American Think Off. The question this year was “Is there only one truth, or are there many truths?“

While I did enjoy the question what I really appreciated was the underlying tone of the debate throughout the night. Everyone of the contestants focused on showing humility in how much of the truth you might know.

They also focused on listening to others and not trying to win a debate but to learn from it.

That is going to be a focus for me going forward as I always get into competition mode vs learning mode, but learning mode it will be from now on!
